All of the nominations are in for the 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards, which will air live in June on CBS and Paramount+. The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences revealed noms in five key categories Thursday, and the rest rolled out this morning.
Fellow soaps General Hospital (ABC) and Days of Our Lives (NBC) scored 17 and 11 noms, respectively, while The Kelly Clarkson Show and The View led talk show nominations with nine each.
Fellow soaps The Young and the Restless (CBS) and Days of Our Lives (NBC) scored 11 nods each, with CBS’s The Bold and the Beautiful landing nine.
CBS leads all networks, and ABC’s General Hospital tops all programs, as nominations for the 47th annual Daytime Awards were announced Thursday by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
ABC’s General Hospital leads the pack in the 42nd annual Daytime Emmy Awards with 28 nominations, including multiple mentions in the lead actor and actress races and a bid for best drama. The Ellen DeGeneres Show once again was the pace-setter among talk shows, with 10 bids, while the The Wendy Williams Show landed its first noms for best entertainment talkshow and for entertainment talk show host. CBS topped the networks with 62 nominations.
The network receives 61 nominations, with its The Young and the Restless receiving 26, the most of any daytime show. The 41st annual Daytime Emmys will be presented June 22 in Beverly Hills.
With lone ABC soap General Hospital leading the pack this year, the Television Academy says negotiations are continuing to find a home for a possible telecast.
PBS and ABC led the field with 57 nominations and 56 nominations, respectively. Among programs, ABC’s General Hospital landed 21 noms. followed by CBS’s The Young and the Restless (20) and PBS’s Sesame Street (16).
