Frndly TV Inks Deal To Add Weigel Diginets

The live streaming platform Frndly TV has signed a deal with Weigel Broadcasting to add five of Weigel’s diginets to its lineup of streaming services. The deal includes Weigel’s MeTV, H&I (Heroes & Icons), Decades, Start TV, and the new Story Television national network. MeTV and the new Story Television network launched on Frndly TV on March 28 with the others to follow.

Fox O&Os To Carry Weigel’s Decades Diginet

Beginning in the third quarter, Weigel Broadcasting’s Decades multicast network will be carried on Fox-owned stations in 12 major markets as part of a multiyear agreement with Fox Television Stations, LLC. The deal ups the network’s U.S. coverage to 60% with 65 TV affiliates nationwide. Decades will launch on Fox stations in New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, San Francisco, Houston, Atlanta, Tampa, Phoenix, Detroit, Minneapolis, Austin and Gainesville, Fla.

CBS O&Os, Weigel To Launch Decades Diginet

Decades will feature originals and more than 100 television series, plus theatrical and made-for-TV movies. Original programming to include Decades Retrospectical, a daily topical show. It is expected to debut during the second quarter of 2015, with the 16 CBS-owned stations that are part of the CBS Television Network serving as the new service’s launch group.
