Fox Nation, the streaming service owned by Fox News, is betting on NASCAR to boost its streaming fortunes (and its subscriber base). The streaming service is sponsoring the car of Spire Motorsports and its Number 77 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, which will feature a Fox Nation graphics package as it circles the track at Daytona International Speedway Feb. 20. NASCAR Cup Series racer Landon Cassill will be driving.

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wy.) is one of several Republicans blasting Fox News Media for a promotional video teasing an upcoming episode of leading host Tucker Carlson‘s miniseries Tucker Carlson Originals. The episode, which will only be broadcast on Fox Nation, the company’s paid streaming service, is set to be published in three parts next month and examines the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol and purports to tell “the true story behind 1/6.”

The streaming service, originally conceived as a place for “super fans” of Fox News Channel, has in recent months been filling its digital shelves with a show led by Nancy Grace; faith-based shows tied to Easter; and vintage movies and TV series. It will serve as a place where fans of a new version of the long-running TV program America’s Most Wanted can watch the series a day after it debuts on Fox Corp. sibling Fox Broadcasting.
In addition to heading the new streaming service, he will retain his role as executive vice president of marketing at Fox News Media.
The Fox News subscription service will offer marketers the chance to embed their products in some of its programs, which have in the recent past included a crime series led by Nancy Grace, a documentary series hosted by former CBS News correspondent Lara Logan, and a cooking show built around Fox & Friends host Steve Doocy.
The Fox Nation streaming-video service has long been touted as a new option for super-fans of the Fox News Channel. But some of the broadband hub’s new programming choices suggest its followers aren’t looking solely for chatter about politics and interviews with members of the Trump administration. Subscribers to the service have recently been notified they can gain access to old TV holiday programs and more is on the way.
