The show from Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution in its second season is up 14% percent nationally in its primary demo, women 25-54, compared to last season.
Fox Television Stations announced today that CFO/EVP Betsy Swanson will be retiring after nearly 30 years with the company. In a memo to staff, CEO Jack Abernethy said Swanson “has been an invaluable partner to me during her time here and has played an instrumental role in making FTS the dynamic business it is today.”
Mike James’ industry website NewsBlues.com reported that WFLD News Director Carol Fowler was “ousted late Friday” after a little more than two years as vice president and news director. He said the move was part of an overhaul of news directors at five Fox-owned stations just days before the start of the May ratings sweeps. Fowler referred a call for comment Saturday to a Fox stations spokesperson in New York, who denied the report unequivocally.
When News Corp.’s Fox Broadcasting struck a big deal with Time Warner Cable last January for distribution rights to its Fox TV stations, it also included an interesting clause that may give some Fox affiliates headaches.
