The 80th annual Golden Globe Awards unveiled its nominations Monday. Winners will be announced Jan. 10 in a live, NBC- and Peacock-televised show from the Beverly Hilton hosted by Jerrod Carmichael.
Nominations for 2022 Golden Globes were announced on Monday morning by Snoop Dogg and HFPA President Helen Hoehne, from the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. HBO’s Succession led TV with five total nominations, while AppleTV+’s The Morning Show and Ted Lasso netted four each.
The 74th annual Golden Globe Awards nominations ceremony were announced morning. On the TV side, FX’s newcomer Atlanta as well as ABC’s black-ish, HBO’s Veep and Amazon’s Mozart in the Jungle and Transparent. are up for best comedy. Best drama nominations include HBO’s Game of Thrones and Westworld, Netflix’s The Crown and Stranger Things, and NBC’s freshman series This Is Us.
Struggling Fox comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine nets two, while Showtime’s Homeland and AMC’s Mad Men are shut out. Netflix earns six nods, the second-best tally behind HBO’s 9.
The broadcast networks were largely overlooked, as usual. They were snubbed entirely in categories such as best actor in a drama series and best actress in a TV film, while the Globes mostly recognized familiar cable fare like Homeland, Boardwalk Empire and Breaking Bad.
