Hallie Jackson, NBC News senior Washington correspondent, becomes anchor of the Sunday NBC Nightly News starting April 7. She will continue to anchor Hallie Jackson NOW weekdays at 5-7 p.m. ET on NBC News NOW. She will retain her Washington correspondent role too, reporting for Today, NBC Nightly News, Meet the Press and other NBC News properties.
Meanwhile, Chris Jansing will get two hours on the cable news outlet’s weekdays while layoffs have hit the news division of the TV network.
The senior Washington correspondent’s NBC News Now streaming program will run at 5 p.m. nightly, and will debut Nov. 15.
Lester Holt, Chuck Todd, Hallie Jackson, Noticias Telemundo’s Vanessa Hauc and the Nevada Independent’s Jon Ralston will moderate the Democratic debate in Las Vegas on Feb. 19 in Las Vegas, sponsored by NBC News and MSNBC.
Five female anchors now deliver most of the daytime news programming at MSNBC: Nicolle Wallace, Andrea Mitchell, Hallie Jackson, Stephanie Ruhle and Katy Tur.
TV and radio correspondents from ABC, CBS, NBC and PBS will be on hand in Las Vegas to offer
