The tinkering continues. The latest post-upfronts scheduling change to the fall lineup is at NBC, where actress Melissa George’s pregnancy has prompted the network to shift the medical drama to midseason. The 8 p.m. Tuesday slot now goes to another doctor drama, Dick Wolf’s Chicago Med.
The new Chicago series will feature characters from its sibling police and fire department dramas, also produced by network stalwart Dick Wolf. Other cast members include Laurie Holden, Nick Gehlfuss and Yaya Dacosta. The network’s new season plans include two other dramas: another medical series, Heartbreaker, and a thriller, Blindspot.
