Investigation Discovery Chief Henry Schleiff To Exit

Henry Schleiff, who has worked in cable television for more than 40 years, is exiting Investigation Discovery. He is leaving in a shakeup that will also see the departure of general manager Kevin Bennett, with Jason Sarlanis taking over the true-crime network. Sarlanis, who is currently SVP development, TLC, has been responsible for spearheading 90 Day Fiancé, one of the company’s biggest hits.

Executive Restructuring At Discovery

Discovery today named Allison Page, president, HGTV and Food Network. Courtney White has been upped to EVP, HGTV and Food Network, reporting to Page. In addition, Discovery has added Travel Channel to executive Henry Schleiff’s portfolio of networks, effective immediately. The moves are part of the restructuring following the company’s acquisition of Scripps Networks Interactive, and fall under the leadership of Chief Lifestyle Brands Officer Kathleen Finch.

Discovery Reorganizes Cable Nets Leadership

Discovery Communications said it would realign executive oversight of several of its cable networks, in a move it said would group the outlets together by theme. And it broadened the number of networks being supervised by three top managers: Eileen O’Neill, Marjorie Kaplan and Henry Schleiff.
