IAB Tech Lab, the digital advertising technical standards body, on Wednesday released id-sources.json to help increase transparency around the use of ID solutions as the advertising industry prepares to transition to a post-cookie world. Today, the id-sources.json standard becomes available for public comment until November 12.
U.S. advertisers invested $17.6 billion in digital advertising during the third quarter of 2016, according to the latest IAB Internet Advertising Revenue Report released Wednesday.
While traditional media continues to struggle to hold onto advertising dollars, digital is hotter than ever. First-half digital spending surpassed $20 billion for the first time this year, and second quarter rose 18 percent over last year, according to new numbers out this morning from the Interactive Advertising Bureau. The IAB reports that second-quarter spending hit $10.03 billion, up from $8.7 billion during the same time last year.
