
As ITVX launches and the BBC gets ready to stream not beam, will event viewing become a thing of the past?

ITV is banking on ITVX to get the U.K. public broadcaster through what looks like a looming economic downturn as well as uncertainty in the television and streaming markets more generally, with an explosion of platforms competing for audiences’ attention.
Rentrak has reached an agreement that looks to combine viewership data for brand integrations with effective metrics. The deal will have Rentrak’s second-by-second data linked with an analytics system run by iTVX, the multipurpose advisory firm in the brand integration space.
