New-Car Sales Pace To Top 13 Million In Dec.

The auto sales rate for the United States in December is expected to top 13 million on an annual basis for the fourth consecutive month, indicating uncertainty about the economy has not slowed the industry down.

J.D. Power says September new-vehicle retail sales are projected to come in at 842,400 units, which represents a seasonally adjusted annualized rate of 10.3 million units.

Young Adults More Likely To Media Migrate

More studies reveal cord-cutting isn’t a threat to traditional TV distribution systems — yet. Just 3% of subscription TV consumers are “cutting the cord” of TV distribution systems — cable, satellite, or telco — per a survey from consumer researcher J.D. Power and Associates. Of those surveyed, young adults 17-34 are the most likely to cut the cord — 6% say they no longer subscribe to a residential television service.
