The recipients of TVNewsCheck’s Women in Technology Awards shared their tech predictions in a webinar last week. Among the most impactful: more collaboration around the transition to the cloud, better monitoring with the aid of machine learning and better standards around and use of data.

Judy Parnall, BBC’s R&D head of standards and one of this year’s recipients of TVNewsCheck’s Women in Technology Leadership Award, has carved out a reputation as a leader always thinking several steps ahead, who engenders trust in colleagues and never fails to see the audience perspective in the technology and standards she helps develop.

Sharri Berg, president of Fox Weather, and Judy Parnall, head of standards and industry at the BBC, receive the highest honor in TVNewsCheck’s Women in Technology Awards for spearheading the launch of a major new streaming channel and driving media technology dramatically forward. They’ll participate in a webinar on April 13 and receive their awards at the NAB Show in Las Vegas on April 26.
