The Gray Television ABC affiliate in Wichita, Kan., has hired Michael Sipes as its news director, replacing Dave Grant. Sipes comes to the station from the ND post at KRDO Colorado Springs.
The Wichita, Kan., ABC affiliate, is in the final stages of its HD transition. The last station in the market to go HD, KAKE will debut new graphics and an updated set with the HD changeover. The station is also installing an automation system, which is used by the other Gray Television stations.
