Kate Glover has been named news director for Gray Television’s CBS affiliate in Kansas City. She joins from Gray’s WNDU South Bend, Ind., where she’s worked since 2017. In an internal communication, KCTV GM Andrew Stewart addressed the high turnover rate experienced while the station was owned by Meredith.
Kate Glover wasn’t WGRZ Buffalo, N.Y.’s news director long enough to become a household name, but the Tegna NBC affiliate’s GM, Jim Toellner, decided Wednesday she was at the station long enough. A Western New York native who was hired last September, Glover was fired after only seven months on the job.
