New TV job postings on TVNewsCheck’s Media Job Center include openings at two network O&O’s in L.A. and Philly. The third opening is for a local sales manager in the Santa Maria/Santa Barbara/San Luis Obispo region of California.
In a corporate move to reorganize its Central Coast television stations, Cowles California Media will move the anchor desk of local evening news at its two Santa Maria stations — CBS affiliate KCOY and KKFX-CA (Fox) — to the company’s KION headquarters in Salinas, Calif., effective Jan. 13. In addition, it has laid off approximately a dozen employees from KCOY and KKFX.
