KFSM Fires Sports Director, Reporter
The Local TV-owned CBS affiliate in Fort Smith-Fayetteville, Ark., fired sports reporter Mike Irwin on Monday, ending a 37-year career at the station. KFSM also informed Sports Director John Engleman his contract would not be renewed. Engleman had worked at the station since 2009.
Local TV’s CBS affiliate is asking the FCC for a “failing station” waiver that would allow it to buy RTN affilate KPBI for $800,000.
