The Southern California PBS outlet will feature public affairs content on its third channel platform.
To ease the upheaval in public TV in Los Angeles, KOCE, now calling itself PBS SoCal, is allowing other area PBS outlets to air shows and has created a website so viewers can easily find their favorites.
Following KCET’s decision in October to drop PBS, KOCE will take over the noncommercial network’s primary affiliation in Los Angeles beginning Jan. 1.
