Nexstar chooses the veteran broadcasting executive with more than 30 years of sales experience to lead its Fox-MNT duopoly in Springfield, Mo., following the retirement of Leo Henning.
Nexstar is looking for a new vice president and general manager for its broadcasting, digital and mobile operations in Springfield, Mo., including KOLR (CBS), KRBK (Fox), and KOZL (MNT). This is a rare opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly engaged broadcasting executive to oversee three stations with an unparalleled competitive position in the market.
Former Quincy and Barrington executive Leo Henning will head up KOZL Springfield, Mo., station as well as Mission Broadcasting’s CBS affiliate KOLR, under a joint operating agreement.
On Sept. 1, Nexstar’s former Fox affiliate becomes KOZL “Ozarks Local” featuring expanded local news, as well as new local entertainment programming.
