Local News Close-Up: Twin Cities Stations Play Fair

The Minnesota State Fair has wound down, but the 2022 affair made quite a mark. The Great Minnesota Get-Together goes for 12 days, ending on Sept. 5, and a stunning 1.84 million people turned up for it — 540,000 more than 2021. The Twin Cities TV stations were there too, setting up their news operations at the fair, as attendees grab a corn dog and take a seat in the bleachers to watch. Minn. Getting ‘Hockey Moms’ Reality Show

Local Minneapolis producer John McCally wants to give some hockey moms their own shot at stardom. He’s looking for interesting, dramatic and fun youth or high school hockey moms and their families to star in a new reality TV show called Hockey Moms. The show will debut Dec. 26 on Hubbard Broadcasting’s KSTC Minneapolis-St. Paul and KAAL Rochester, Minn.
