FCC Launches Online Database Of Licenses

The FCC has launched an online, searchable database of licenses in an attempt to provide more transparency into the commission’s operations. License View is an online dashboard that lets users explore the more than three million spectrum licenses issued by the FCC. Users can view the number of different licenses a company or organization holds, the type and when they are up for renewal. The raw data files will also be available for use by software developers.
