Mindshare U.S. CEO Amanda Richman Quits

Amanda Richman, U.S. CEO at GroupM’s Mindshare, has abruptly stepped down from her post, which she had held for nearly two years. No immediate explanation was given for the departure. The agency confirmed the parting of ways without further elaboration.

Mindshare Absorbs Ogilvy’s Neo

Mindshare, the GroupM agency, has absorbed sibling Ogilvy unit Neo, which becomes part of Mindshare’s newly formed Performance Group, the agencies have confirmed. The new unit also houses an operation called FAST (Future Adaptive Specialist Team) which focuses on marketing via addressable channels. For GroupM it’s the second big agency restructuring move in recent weeks, following its decision to fold Maxus into sibling media agency MEC. Neo was formed in 2006 as a digital media unit of Ogilvy.

Mindshare: 3 In 4 Will Watch Olympics Live

Three in four Americans will watch the upcoming Summer Olympics, with the vast majority (88%) watching these games on TV, according to Mindshare North America. Around one in four (23%) say that they will watch the events live on PC/desktop and 43% of Olympics viewers would watch the Olympics on a virtual reality headset if they owned one.
