An NBC executive who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the plan is not finalized said Monday that Jim Bell will be replaced as the show’s executive producer. Veteran NBC News executive Alexandra Wallace will oversee management of Today and a search is under way for Bell’s successor.

Veteran NBC sales executive Marianne Gambelli announced Friday afternoon that she is leaving the company, effective immediately. Gambelli’s departure comes just weeks after NBCU moved to consolidate all broadcast and cable network sales under Linda Yaccarino. At the time, NBC insiders insisted that Gambelli would be staying put.
