CBS’s How We Roll debuted on Thursday night to 4.1 million total viewers and a 0.3 demo rating, falling shy of yet-to-be-renewed time slot predecessor B Positive‘s Season 2 averages (4.5M/0.4). Elsewhere on CBS, Young Sheldon‘s 100th episode (6.6M/0.5) dipped in the demo, while Ghosts (6M/0.5) was steady and landed in a four-way tie for the nightly demo win.

Fox’s Domino Masters this week put up a fourth straight 0.4 demo rating, while drawing 1.8 million total viewers. With #OneChicago in rerun mode, CBS’s steady Survivor (5.4M/0.8) led Wednesday in both measures.

CBS’s FBI and Most Wanted tied This Is Us for the Tuesday demo win, as the sunsetting NBC drama slipped to a new series low. FBI led the night with 7.3 million total viewers but dipped in the demo to a 0.6.

CBS’s yet-to-be-renewed NCIS: Hawai’i this Monday drew 5.9 million total viewers — up 16% to a best-since-premiere audience — and held steady in the demo with a 0.5, as part of CBS’s NCIS crossover event. NCIS itself (6.6M/0.5) dipped in the demo but of course copped Monday’s largest audience. NBC’s American Song Contest (1.8M/0.3) plunged 40% from its debut.

Following a pretty steady slide that over the past 10 years alone saw the audience plummet by 74 percent, viewership for the Oscars surged this year, with a telecast that brought back the concept of a host(s) and featured a 10 p.m. physical fracas between Will Smith and Chris Rock.

CBS’s primetime coverage of March Madness Sweet 16 action dominated by averaging 8.19 million total viewers and a robust 2.0 demo rating. The men’s college hoops’ strongest half-hour came at 9/8c, when the crowd eclipsed 10.5 million viewers and the demo number rose to a 2.6. On ABC, Station 19 (4.4M/0.6) and Grey’s Anatomy (4.1M/0.6) both ticked up, in viewers and in the demo, while Big Sky (2.8M/0.3) added only eyeballs.

The CW’s The Flash and Kung Fu — hot off their renewal news (and with NBC’s #OneChicago in rerun mode) — saw their audiences surge, while CBS’s Survivor led Wednesday across the board.

CBS’s FBI: Most Wanted‘s first episode minus Julian McMahon’s Jess LaCroix drew a steady 5.6 million total viewers and a third straight 0.5 demo rating (and the procedural’s fifth 0.5 out of the last six episodes). Opening CBS’s night, FBI (7.8M/0.6) was down a tenth in the demo but easily copped Tuesday’s biggest audience.

Fox’s 9-1-1 and ABC’s American Idol tied for the Monday demo win at 0.7, while CBS’s NCIS (6.4M/0.5) commanded the night’s largest audience.

The CW’s Riverdale resumed Season 6 — after a months-long break, and in a brand new time slot — with fewer than 250,000 total viewers (a series low) and a 0.1 demo rating. Over on CBS (pending certain adjustment due to delayed starts), the network currently has 60 Minutes drawing 9.4 million total viewers.

ABC’s The Goldbergs Starring Not Jeff Garlin this Wednesday drew 2.7 million total viewers and a 0.4 demo rating, down sharply from last week to mark series lows. CBS’s Survivor (4.8M/0.8) matched its season opener to lead Wednesday in the demo. NBC’s Chicago PD copped the night’s biggest audience.

ABC’s The Bachelor closed out its Clayton edition with 4.4 million total viewers and a 1.0 demo rating, down a tick from Monday’s Part 1 but still dominating Tuesday in the demo. CBS’s FBI rerun copped Tuesday’s largest audience: 4.5 million.

Fox’s yet-to-be-renewed The Cleaning Lady closed out its freshman run on Monday night with a hair over 2.8 million total viewers and its fifth straight 0.4 demo rating. ABC’s The Bachelor (4.3M/1.0) ticked up with Part 1 of its season finale, dominating Monday in the demo.

NBC’s Weakest Link opened Season 2 on Sunday with just 1.5 million total viewers and a 0.2 demo rating, falling well shy of its previous lows (2.5M/0.5). ABC’s American Idol (6.4M/0.9) was down, but still dominated Sunday in the demo.

Thursday primetime had yet another four-way tie for the night’s highest demo between Young Sheldon, Station 19, Law & Order: SVU and Grey’s Anatomy, as was the case the previous week. All four titles brought in a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demo, matching last week’s performance. As has typically been the case for Thursday primetime, Young Sheldon (0.6/6.56M) was the most-watched program of the evening.

NBC’s Law & Order revival this Thursday drew 4.3 million total viewers and a 0.4 demo rating, down 26% and 43% percent from its premiere. Leading out of that, SVU (4.4Mil/0.6) dipped but still landed in a four-way tie for the nightly demo win.

NBC’s Chicago Fire led Wednesday in the demo, while Med delivered the night’s biggest audience. Med drew 6.9 million total viewers and a 0.7 rating, dipping a bit week-to-week, while Fire (6.7M/0.8) and P.D. (5.7M/0.7) were steady.

ABC led broadcast TV’s coverage of President Biden’s first State of the Union address, averaging 4.2 million viewers (and a 0.7 demo rating) during primetime. On The CW, Superman & Lois (760K/0.1) dipped to a season low in audience and also ticked down in the demo.

ABC’s The Bachelor led Monday in the demo, while CBS’s returning NCIS drew the night’s biggest audience. The Bachelor drew 3.5 million total viewers and a 0.7 demo rating, steady week-to-week.

American Idol kicked off its 20th overall cycle (and fifth on ABC) with 6 million total viewers and a 0.9 rating, right on par with last season’s Sunday’ averages and easily leading the night in the demo. Over on CBS, 60 Minutes (8.1M/0.6) delivered Sunday’s largest audience.

Dun-dun! The Season 21 premiere of NBC’s revived Law & Order drew 5.5 million total viewers — Thursday’s third-largest audience — and a 0.7 rating, tying SVU and two others for the nightly demo win. It also handily improved on time slot predecessor Blacklist‘s averages.

NBC’s Chicago Med led Wednesday in both total viewers (with 6.9 million) and in the demo (with a 0.8 rating). On ABC, A Million Little Things (2M/0.3) returned steady after a nearly three-month break, while all of the sitcoms were down.

The grand finale of ABC’s Jeopardy! College Championship Tournament drew 5.5 million total viewers and a 0.7 rating, marking series highs and tying NBC’s This Is Us for the Tuesday demo win. Leading out of that, Abbott Elementary enjoyed its largest audience in four episodes (2.9M) and tied its demo high (0.6).

NBC’s AGT: Extreme officially debuted to a 0.7 demo rating — topping Monday in that measure — and 4.3 million total viewers. On ABC, Promised Land (1.6M/0.2) was steady with its final ABC airing (it moves to Hulu next Tuesday). On Fox, 9-1-1: Lone Star (4.9M/0.5) dipped to season lows but drew Monday’s biggest audience.

NBC’s primetime Thursday coverage of the Winter Olympics — the women’s figure skating free skate included — averaged 7.4 million total viewers, up 21% from Wednesday’s audience low for the Beijing games. ABC’s latest round of the Jeopardy College Championship Tournament led the rest of Thursday’s TV pack, matching its second-largest audience thus far (4.6M) and tying its demo high (with a 0.6 rating).

ABC “bubble” drama Queens closed out its freshman run on Tuesday night with its smallest audience yet (an even 1 million viewers) and a second straight 0.2 demo rating. NBC’s primetime Winter Olympics coverage averaged 8.1M and a 1.4.

Fresh off the gold medal wins for Nathan Chen and Chloe Kim, NBC’s coverage of 2022 Winter Olympics ventured to new heights with Thursday earning the highest demo of the games so far. Per fast affiliates, Thursday’s primetime broadcast of the Beijing games raked in a 1.9 rating the 18-49 demo and 9.86 million viewers, up in both measures from the previous evening’s fast affiliates (1.8/9.65M).

CBS’s Celebrity Big Brother on Wednesday drew 2.9 million total viewers and a 0.6 rating, marking its best numbers since its premiere and placing second in the demo behind NBC’s Olympics coverage.

Nielsen calls discussion “premature” on its Nielsen One next-generation cross-platform service, and the value of overnights is questionable, but NBCU is touting iSpot Olympics data daily.

Big Brother: Celebrity Edition finally returned to CBS after three years. The spinoff series of the long-running competition series made a splash with its premiere topping demo ratings on Wednesday night. Per fast affiliates, the CBS series nabbed a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demo and 3.66 million viewers.

NBC’s This Is Us scored the nightly demo win while CBS’s FBI copped Tuesday’s biggest audience. On Fox, The Real Dirty Dancing debuted to just 1.5M and a 0.2, while The Resident (3.2M/0.4, returned steady after an eight-week hiatus.

NBC’s celebration of the late Betty White on Monday night drew 4.1 million total viewers and a 0.5 demo rating, placing second for the night in both measures.

With both NBC and ABC in rerun mode, CBS’s primetime serving of Let’s Make a Deal led Wednesday both in total audience (with 4.3 million viewers) and in the demo (scoring a 0.6 rating).

CBS’s broadcast of the wild, rollercoaster, overtime NFL divisional playoff game between the Chiefs and Bills averaged 34.5 million total viewers on Sunday night (per early numbers), up 20% from the comparable Bucs-Saints game on Fox a year ago. Leading out of that (starting a bit after 10 ET), the specially scheduled kickoff to NCIS: Hawai’i‘s two-parter (concluding tonight) retained 9.9 million viewers (along with a 2.2 demo rating)..

A cold winter’s night saw a unique divide between Sharks and Smacks, as ABC’s Shark Tank and Fox’s WWE Friday Night SmackDown tied atop the demo pool, each raising an 0.6.

The CW’s Walker this Thursday drew 1.11 million total viewers — marking a season high — and a 0.14 demo rating (up 27% week-to-week). Over on CBS, Young Sheldon (7.8M/0.8), United States of Al (5.4M/0.5), Ghosts (6.5M/0.7) and B Positive (4.9M/0.5) all are on track to again hit season highs in audience, while Sheldon and Ghosts respectively hit and tied season highs in the demo.

All of ABC’s Wednesday sitcoms hit or tied season lows, while two-thirds of NBC’s Chicago trifecta led the night.
