GateHouse Buys Palm Beach Post, Daily News
One of the nation’s busiest acquirers of newspapers and online media has agreed to buy The Palm Beach Post and Palm Beach Daily News in a $49.25 million deal announced Wednesday.
The Scripps-owned ABC affiliate in West Palm Beach, Fla., is joining with the Palm Beach Post. The station will feature a front-page story from paper during the 11 p.m. news and also during morning news shows and on WPTV-produced news on WFLX. The Post will feature WPTV video on its website, and the Post‘s print and online weather page will feature forecasts from Steve Weagle, WPTV’s chief meteorologist.
