People’s List, a new weekly primetime series from ABC News and People is set for a limited summer run starting Saturday, June 11. Actor Jerry O’Connell and SuChin Pak, former MTV news correspondent, will host, and will be joined by a team of “all-star insiders” from ABC News and People.
People, under pressure from Time Inc. brass to diversify its media offerings, is close to inking a deal with ABC for a weekly primetime show. Under terms of the proposed deal, sources say, ABC’s Lincoln Square Studios will pay a $100,000 licensing fee per episode to the Time Inc.-owned title while also agreeing to buy ads in People and Entertainment Weekly to promote the show.
