It’s the end of the road for Fox’s quirky family comedy Raising Hope, with the upcoming fourth season finale serving as series finale. The blue-collar will bow out with an hourlong farewell on Friday, April 4, featuring back-to-back episodes from 9 to 10 p.m.
Twentieth Television’s off-net comedy has been cleared in more than 180 markets on a number of station groups including CBS, Sinclair and LIN for a fall 2014 debut.
Fox has given renewals to midseason drama The Following and Tuesday comedies New Girl, Raising Hope and The Mindy Project. They join recently renewed veteran Bones, with negotiations for a fifth season of Glee ongoing.
On the heels of freshman The Mindy Project getting a pickup for two more episodes, bringing its first season order to 24 episodes, Fox has done the same with its two returning live-action comedies, New Girl and Raising Hope.
The network has picked up its Tuesday night comedy lineup for next year.
Fox Renews ‘Hope,’ Sets ‘Nova’ Premiere
Fox has renewed Raising Hope, the network announced at TCA Tuesday. It also confirmed the sneak preview of Steven Spielberg’s Terra Nova: Monday, May 23, and Tuesday, May 24, at 9 p.m. ET. The show will premiere in the fall.
