Rick Feldman is stepping down from his post as executive director of the Nonfiction Producers Association, the trade group formed last year to represent unscripted production companies. Feldman, a TV biz vet who previously headed the National Association of Television Program Producers, was recruited by NPA founders to help get the association on its feet. He intended from the start to hand the reins to a permanent exec director once the group was established.
On April 30, at the end of his current contract, he will become a consultant to the organization. Korn Ferry is heading the search for new operating chief. Feldman will assist with the transition, the association said.
The group’s CEO, Rick Feldman, outlined changes in store for next year’s gathering in Miami Beach to solve problems including overcrowded elevators and adding more exhibit space and meeting rooms.
