After 13 years, Good Morning America hosts George Stephanopoulos and Robin Roberts have passed an improbable milestone without public notice. They’re now the longest-serving pair of hosts ever on any ABC, CBS and NBC morning show. They’ve presided during a time GMA took over from Today as the most popular morning show and have kept that distinction for a decade, yet also as the shows diminished in audience and influence.

Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts revealed late Thursday that she tested positive for COVID-19, which is why she has been absent from the morning airwaves. “Appreciate the concern about my absence this week on @GMA. Unfortunately I tested positive for Covid. Grateful my symptoms have been mild and that I’m doing well. Looking forward to returning as soon as I can,” she tweeted.

The heads of Graham Media, Emily Barr, and Hearst Television, Jordan Wertlieb, yesterday agreed that local journalism, particularly that practiced by TV stations, was critical to the nation’s well-being. The two made their remarks as they were honored as Giants of Broadcasting and the Electronic Arts by the Library of American Broadcasting Foundation.

Jeopardy today announced the final guest hosts for Season 37: George Stephanopoulos, Robin Roberts, LeVar Burton and David Faber. As previously announced, Joe Buck is also part of this final batch.
