There were some big plot twists on FX’s Sons of Anarchy‘s super-sized episode Tuesday night, yet its rating was slightly off from the previous week. Sons averaged a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating at 10 p.m., down a tenth from the previous week. The additional running time (the show went until 11:30) may have contributed some to the decline. It’s harder to sustain a rating the longer a show airs. But the bigger factor was probably the additional competition from broadcast Tuesday night.
The expanded arrangement with Twentieth Century Fox also covers older shows, such as Ally McBeal and The Wonder Years.
