Verizon’s Spectrum Deal Close To FCC OK

Verizon’s controversial plan to purchase spectrum from cable companies appears likely to win approval from the FCC. But the Justice Department also must sign off on the deal before it can go through, and that agency reportedly has concerns about whether the deal will harm consumers.

Copps Calls For Spectrum Inventory

Michael Copps, the former FCC commissioner, tells C-SPAN’s The Communicators that a complete spectrum inventory is needed, which he believe will reveal that there’s a “whole bunch of spectrum lying fallow that could fuel a whole lot of devices and fuel a whole lot of technology.”
