NBCU-owned KNTV in the Bay Area built a digital innovation team composed of unique specialists whose goal was to transform the newsroom’s culture. The team’s ambitious, multimedia investigative projects have garnered an armful of Murrow awards and illuminated bold, new storytelling pathways.

Stacy Owen, president and GM of NBCU’s Bay Area stations, says amid the thousands of new complexities of broadcasting in the pandemic, keeping connected daily with staffers — especially those working from home — remains her top priority.
A 20-plus year industry veteran, Owen will lead NBC and Telemundo-owned stations in the Bay Area serving English and Spanish-speaking viewers. Owen has been an assistant news director at KNBC since 2012 and was news director at Cincinnati’s WLWT.
