Last night’s contest tied with the 1987 game for the highest-rated ever, up 3% over last year, which was the most-watched game in history. Fox’s Super Bowl XLV averaged a 47.9 household rating and a 71 share, according to Nielsen metered-market ratings released by Fox this morning.
