New Tamron Hall Syndie Gains Hearst TVs

Hearst’s stations across 24 U.S. markets will be distributing Hall’s daytime talker, according to Walt Disney Direct-to-Consumer and International, which is distributing the show, putting it in half of the U.S., including eight of the top 10 markets. The ABC Owned Stations cleared the show in September. As more station groups pick up the program, the question becomes where in the daytime TV schedule will it fit?

ABC O&Os Pick Up Tamron Hall Talk Show

Former Today co-host Tamron Hall is officially heading to daytime TV. Disney ABC has cleared the new syndicated daytime talk show hosted by Hall on the ABC Owned Television Stations Group for fall 2019. The project had been in development at Walt Disney Direct-to-Consumer & International for the past couple of months.

Disney, Former ‘Today’ Host Developing Talker

Former Today host Tamron Hall is developing a syndicated daytime talk show after striking a deal with Disney ABC. Hall, who has been the host of Investigation Discovery’s Deadline: Crime with Tamron Hall since 2013, has inked a development holding agreement with the Hollywood studio.

Hall, who was bumped from her Today gig to make room for Megyn Kelly’s new 9 o’clock show, is working with Weinstein TV on an untitled talker. It’ll be shot in front of a live studio audience and will “fill the current void in daytime for viewers looking for a blend of heart, humor and information,” a statement said. No word on a distributor.

‘Today’s Tamron Hall Leaving NBC

Tamron Hall, a regular host on NBC’s Today and MSNBC, is leaving the network later this month. Her departure was announced today after days of contentious contract negotiations. Hall had been the co-host of the 9 a.m. hour of Today and a daytime anchor on MSNBC. Last week executives informed Hall and the Today staff that the 9 a.m. hour was being canceled to make room for a new program led by former Fox News host Megyn Kelly.
