New Cosby Show Could Debut Next Summer

The series, described as a “classic, extended-family sitcom” with Bill Cosby as the patriarch, is currently in the writing stage, NBC executives said at Sunday’s session of the summer TV critics’ tour. It was first announced in January.

Greenblatt: NBC Scores Higher Upfront Gains

 NBC won the 2013-14 TV season among key 18-49 viewers — and apparently the most recent upfront advertising market as well. Robert Greenblatt, chairman of NBC Entertainment, told the TCA that NBC led all networks in key gains in upfront dollar volume and pricing.

Sheen’s ‘Anger’ Poised For 90-Episode Pickup

With his FX sitcom Anger Management half-way through its initial 10-episode run, Charlie Sheen say it’s poised to get an order for 90 more. Sheen told reporters Saturday that the prospect of continuing is as “exciting as hell,” and added cheerily, “I don’t think 90’s gonna be enough.”
