David McGuire, EVP of programming and development for Warner Bros.’ first-run and unscripted arm, Telepictures, is departing following the exit of Warner Bros. Unscripted Television President Mike Darnell. Both executives are leaving the Warner Bros. Television Group after a restructuring. McGuire worked at Telepictures for more than 30 years, having started his tenure there as a production assistant on syndicated talk show Jenny Jones.

The Ellen DeGeneres Show has become the subject of an internal investigation by WarnerMedia following numerous accounts of workplace problems on the long-running daytime series, Variety has learned. Executives from show producer Telepictures and distributor Warner Bros. Television sent a memo to staffers last week saying they have engaged WBTV-owner WarnerMedia’s employee relations group and a third party firm, who will interview current and former staffers about their experiences on set, said sources.
Telepictures To Test RuPaul Daytime Talk Show
The Emmy-winning host of RuPaul’s Drag Race is bringing his personality to the daytime space, filming a talk show pilot for Telepictures, Variety reports. The show, which is targeted for a fall 2019 launch and will be filmed in front of an audience, will feature the host bringing his unique, positive and aspirational point of view to the format, interviewing celebrities, giving beauty and glam tips, playing games and dishing on pop culture. Telepictures announced Tuesday that its rookie talker hosted by Tamar Braxton, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai and Adrienne Bailon has been renewed for the 2015-16 season.

Suze Orman’s Money Wars will air five days a week and focus on families, friends and couples whose disputes about money are affecting their lives. The new show comes as the personal finance expert ends her 14-year run as host of CNBC’s The Suze Orman Show in March 2015.
