NBCUniversal’s The Steve Wilkos Show joins fellow conflict talker Maury in being renewed through the 2021-22 TV season, said Tracie Wilson, EVP, creative affairs, NBCUniversal TV Distribution, Thursday.
The nationally syndicated talkers have been renewed for additional seasons in over 65% of the U.S. with broadcast station groups including Tribune, Sinclair and Hearst.
The station group may not renew Maury, Jerry Springer and Steve Wilkos beyond 2015-16, when its current contract with syndicator NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution ends, according to multiple sources. Tribune airs the shows in many markets, including six of the top 10.
The NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution syndicated shows have been renewed for additional seasons in over 60% of the U.S. with broadcast station groups including Tribune, Sinclair and Hearst.
