Tejera, who died suddenly on Friday of a heart attack, was named executive producer of This Week in 2020, and the show rose to the top among Sunday shows among adults 25-54. He made his mark by sending its hosts out on location, expanding the show’s focus beyond the typical concentration on Beltway politics.
ABC News President James Goldston’s announcement today made formal what has been the practice over the past few months on This Week With George Stephanopoulos. Stephanopoulos has cut back on his weekend schedule since he co-hosts Good Morning America during the week. Chief White House correspondent Jonathan Karl will be the substitute host on weeks that the other two aren’t available.
The partnership will bring ABC News and entertainment programming to Clear Channel’s new iHeartRadio Talk feature. The deal includes content from ABC News, Nightline, 20/20, This Week with George Stephanopoulos, Good Morning America, Jimmy Kimmel Live and The View.
