The changeover at the top of CBS’ entertainment operations continues. Thom Sherman is stepping down as SVP, programming, CBS Entertainment and is getting an expansive production deal with the company. The move follows the news earlier this morning that CBS veteran Kelly Kahl will be leaving his post as president of Entertainment at the end of the year.The network’s head of current Amy Reisenbach will be named new president of Entertainment.

Kahl Named CBS Entertainment President

CBS on Tuesday named a new leadership team for its entertainment division. Long-time CBS head of scheduling Kelly Kahl has been promoted to president, CBS Entertainment. The CW’s head of programming Thom Sherman is being named senior EVP of programming. They replace Glenn Gellar, who stepped down as president of entertainment.

Shakeup At CBS Entertainment: Geller Exits

Glenn Geller is stepping down from his role as CBS Entertainment president two months after suffering a mild heart attack. Industry sources say CBS has opted to reconfigure its entertainment leadership, with plans to promote longtime scheduling chief Kelly Kahl and recruit Thom Sherman from The CW.

CW Names Thom Sherman Top Creative Exec

As part of its continued restructuring of its executive ranks, the CW has named Thom Sherman executive vice president of development. He will oversee the creative efforts of the network and report to Mark Pedowitz, CW’s new president.
