Video, Mobile Top Digital Priorities At Nexstar
Nexstar Broadcasting is working on a new platform aimed at boosting video views across all 45 of its local websites. Other priorities, according to Thomas O’Brien, EVP of digital media and chief revenue officer, include capitalizing on an increasingly mobile online audience and building a digital agency business with the help of newly acquired Internet Broadcasting Systems.
The former WNBC president and general manager will report to Nexstar CEO Perry Sook and help the group expand its offerings and enhance its user platforms and multiplatform integration. “Tom brings outstanding leadership and entrepreneurial skills to Nexstar, and I look forward to working directly with him as our new reporting structure is intended to allow us to take a more holistic approach to business and revenue development,” says Sook.
