“Trial & Error” returned for its second season on Thursday night down significantly from its first season debut last year in the overnight ratings. The NBC comedy series drew a 0.6 rating 3.3 million viewers at 9 p.m. That is down over 50% in the demo and over 40% in total viewers from the Season 1 premiere. A second episode at 9:30 fared no better with a 0.5 and 2.7 million viewers.
NBC has renewed its cheeky crime courtroom parody series Trial & Error starring John Lithgow, Nicholas D’Agosto, Sherri Shepherd, Steven Boyer, Jayma Mays and Krysta Rodriguez. Season two will be 10 episodes long.
