Tubi, Fox’s ad supported streaming service, named veteran ad sales executive Jeff Lucas as chief revenue officer. Lucas replaces Mark Rotblat, who had been CRO since 2018. Rotblat will be focusing on AdRise, another unit in Fox’s Tubi Media Group, a Tubi spokesperson said. AdRise is a large-scale video advertising network that incorporates all of Fox’s video inventory from Tubi, Fox Sports, Fox Entertainment, Fox News Media and Fox Television Stations.
Tubi has expanded its partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery to stream many of its DC titles. Fox’s free, ad-supported streamer will also offer series on-demand including Batwoman, Gotham, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, as well as Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), Green Lantern and Wonder Woman 1984. As part of the expanded deal, Tubi also launched 10 new FAST channels featuring Warner Bros. content.

The company has hired Google exec Rachel Berk as SVP, distribution, platform partnerships. In the newly created role, Berk will manage partnerships for Fox brands including Tubi across connected TV services. Reporting to BJ Elias, EVP of distribution, advanced services, Berk will lead the platform distribution team, responsible for the domestic and international distribution of connected TV services from Fox brands including Tubi, Fox Sports, Fox Local, Fox News and Fox Nation across platforms including Amazon, Roku and Samsung.
Tubi, Fox’s free, ad-supported video-on-demand service, has appointed former Amazon executive Sameer Balgi as its chief financial officer. Balgi was previously the chief financial officer of Freevee, Amazon’s FAST service and also head of finance for Prime Video’s U.S. Marketplace business. He took on the new position at Tubi on Nov. 6.
Fox’s streaming service Tubi said it hired Anjali Sud to be its CEO, effective Sept. 1. Sud had been CEO of Vimeo. She succeeds Tubi founder Farhad Massoudi as CEO and reports to Paul Cheesbrough, who is CEO of Fox’s recently formed Tubi Media Group.
Tubi founder and CEO Farhad Massoudi is stepping down as Fox Corp. is forming the Tubi Media Group led by Paul Cheesbrough. Massoudi will remain with Tubi through a transition period until the end of June. A new CEO of Tubi Streaming will be announced at a later date.
Fox-owned Tubi has partnered with Vice Media Group to produce eight investigative documentaries exclusively for the ad-supported streaming service. The first doc, The Cult of Elon, which will delve into the “cult of personality” surrounding controversial Tesla and Twitter owner Elon Musk, will debut on Tubi April 26. That will be followed up by the May 6 Tubi premiere of Vigilante, which examines the emergence of online vigilantism through the investigation of a Los Angeles-based serial arsonist.
