Most Viewers Do Other Stuff While TV Is On

While more than 90% of U.S. consumers do other things when watching TV, millennials have taken the art of multitasking to the next level. A Deloitte study shows viewers age 19-25 engage in an average of four additional activities while watching TV, including general surfing the Web, using social media behavior and texting.

Viewers Want Fewer Channels, Lower Bills

A Digitalsmiths survey shows nearly 75% of TV consumers want “skinny” TV packages with 20 channels or less, versus the 100 to 200 channels typically offered. They’d also like to pay less — roughly $40 rather than the average $80-$120 pay TV bill.
