
Former Netflix exec Bryan Noon has been appointed to the role after the departure of Craig Hunegs earlier this year. Hunegs joined Disney in 2019 but left six months after a major restructure changed his role. Noon, who spent eight years at Netflix, most recently as VP, original series, overseeing the streamer’s business affairs team, will report to Walt Disney Television Entertainment Chairman Dana Walden, who called him the “exact right executive” to lead the team.

Faigus, who was previously VP, alternative series and specials, becomes SVP, unscripted and alternative entertainment, ABC Entertainment and Walt Disney Television Unscripted. She will work across both the network and the Mouse House’s newly launched unscripted production division, which is overseen by Rob Mills.

The former Fox and 20th Television exec will now oversee casting for Disney’s entire television portfolio, adding animation, alternative, Hulu and Freeform to a purview that already included Disney TV Studios and FX.

The news comes days after Dana Walden, who is chairman of entertainment, Walt Disney Television, unveiled a sweeping restructure of the business that saw Hulu’s SVP Content Craig Erwich take oversight of the ABC network and ABC Entertainment President Karey Burke take on a new role as president of 20th Television.

Disney is the latest traditional media company to consolidate its content creation across streaming and linear as traditional media companies adjust to the streaming age. Dana Walden, chairman of entertainment, Walt Disney Television, today unveiled a major restructure of the television production and original content businesses under her purview that involve Craig Erwich, Karey Burke, Craig Hunegs, Bert Salke, Carolyn Cassidy and Jane Francis.

A year and a half after being named president of business operations and chief financial officer of Walt Disney Television, Ravi Ahuja is exiting the company “to seek a new adventure,” according to Disney General Entertainment Chairman Peter Rice.
