Nexstar Quietly Starts ‘DC News Now’ From Scratch

Nexstar put news operations of two of its stations together at one location in the nation’s capital and branded it as DC News Now. Now, 100 days into the expansion, it has begun a branding campaign that outlines the central points of its news coverage philosophy.

Nexstar To Expand Local News Operations Serving D.C., Northern Virginia, Maryland

WDVM and WDCW will occupy a new state-of-the-art newsroom and studio. The combined operation will offer 67-plus hours of local news and be known as “DC News Now” and will be led by veteran journalist and news management executive Ben Dobson.

WDVM Returns To Antietam Broadband

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. and Antietam Broadband announced Tuesday that they reached a multi-year agreement to return independent WDVM Hagerstown , Md. (Washington DMA) to the broadband system in Hagerstown and Washington County, Md. The station has been absent from the cable service’s channel lineup since the end of 2018.
