News Director, News Producer And GM Openings
New jobs posted to TVNewsCheck’s Media Job Center include openings for a news director, a news producer and a general manager for Nexstar stations in Sacramento, Calif.; Roanoke, Va.; and San Francisco.
As it opens a new $3 million, 15,000-square-foot building, Nexstar will add 30 employees to support an expansion of its local news programming under the WFXR news brand that launches Oct. 1.

Nexstar Broadcasting promotes the former GM of its Evansville, Ind., operations to head its Fox-CW duopoly in Roanoke, Va.
Broadcast veteran and former KHON Honolulu GM Joseph McNamara will lead the Fox-CW pair of WFXR-WWCW and associated digital operations.
