Entertainment President Nina Tassler says the network is worried about Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen “on a personal level” but insists “he does his job extremely well.”
Due to NBC Universal’s still-pending purchase by Comcast, the network chose not to make an executive available to talk about the network’s programming Thursday during the twice-annual meeting with the Television Critics Association.
“We want them both,” Kevin Reilly, Fox entertainment president told reporters. “It’s really about whether we can make a deal.”
Fox has renewed Raising Hope, the network announced at TCA Tuesday. It also confirmed the sneak preview of Steven Spielberg’s Terra Nova: Monday, May 23, and Tuesday, May 24, at 9 p.m. ET. The show will premiere in the fall.
The network today that it has renewed Modern Family, Grey’s Anatomy, Castle, Cougar Town, The Middle and Private Practice for the 2011-12 TV season.
Except for No. 1 CBS and its CW cousin, there hasn’t been much to crow about. They’ll be talking about new shows at the Television Critics Assn. tour.
