Karen Araiza has been named news director of Tegna’s Portland and Bangor, Maine, NBC affiliates WCSH and WLBZ.

Tegna-owned NBC affiliate WLBZ Bangor, Maine, will no longer produce a 6 p.m. weekday news show beginning Oct. 8. The 6 p.m. newscast will instead originate in Portland, Maine, on co-owned NBC affil WCSH, as do WLBZ’s weekday morning, noon, 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. broadcasts.
