The Atlantic City, N.J., station owned by LocusPoint Networks will no longer broadcast NBC programming after Dec. 31. And its familiar local newscast — operated by the Linwood, N.J.-based Access.1 under contract with LocusPoint — will go away at the same time. WMGM said Access.1 would would take the current news, sales, management and administration teams and seek a new broadcast channel to continue operations.
J. “Roger” Powe III was named interim general manager of the NBC affiliate in Atlantic City, N.J. He has been the station’s general sales manager for the past eight years and succeeds Ron Smith who was appointed GM in 2003 when Access 1 Communications purchased the station.
