The agreement with DuJuan McCoy’s new Circle City Broadcasting I marks the completion of Nexstar’s divestiture plan to secure approvals for its Tribune Media purchase. The total gross proceeds from the planned sale of the 21 stations being divested amounts to $1.36 billion.
Christopher McDonnell will oversee KRON San Francisco and Randy Ingram will head the Indianapolis duopoly of WISH-WNDY.
He takes over the helm of LIN’s CBS-MNT duopoly in Indianapolis, joining from LIN’s WJCL Savannah, Ga., where he will be succeeded by Steve Doerr.
The WISH-produced evening newscast on sister station WNDY will become an hour starting on Monday, Jan. 6.
