Two Women Making Their Marks On TV Tech
The winners of TVNewsCheck’s 2018 Technology Women to Watch awards have something in common beside their field of interest. Both KIRO Seattle’s Deborah Adeogba and Dolby Laboratories’ Jaclyn Pytlarz constantly seek new challenges and opportunities to stretch their knowledge and satisfy their scientific curiosity.
For HBO’s Tryneski, It’s All About The New
Diane Tryneski, HBO’s tech EVP and chief digital officer, has worked for broadcasting and cable networks since 1982 and has been guided by constantly seeking to move her state of the art forward. Right now, that means building out HBO’s IP infrastructure.
Jaclyn Pytlarz, Dolby’s senior engineer for applied vision science, will be recognized by TVNewsCheck for developing color mapping and display management algorithms on a wide variety of displays, including HDR and wide color gamut displays.
The director of news technology for Cox’s KIRO Seattle will be recognized by TVNewsCheck for having transformed workflows at several stations and for her ability to lead teams of people through change. She will be honored during April’s NAB Show in Las Vegas.
